What belongs on the first screen when a team opens an experiment dashboard—and what should stay one click away.
A readout that tries to show everything becomes a scrapbook. Start with the decision the team must make: ship, iterate, or stop. Place the hypothesis, primary metric with lift and uncertainty, and guardrail status on the first view.
Secondary metrics, segment cuts, and qualitative notes belong on deeper tabs. They inform nuance after the primary call is framed—not before.
Always show sample health: assignment balance, exposure counts, and any peeking notes. Without that context, a green lift is theater.
End with a written recommendation field. Dashboards that stop at charts force every meeting to reinvent the conclusion.
